OUR CLIENT are a very well- established successful company commercial real estate company, providing a full suite of services covering all aspects of commercial properties. They work with investors, developers and occupiers both within and outside the UK. Now they are looking for an experienced Client Accountant on 12 months contract basis. The role will provide property management accounting services and service charge accounting for one of their largest clients.

THE ROLE: The Client Accountant responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting the year-end service charge accounts for a commercial property portfolio.
  • Preparing lease completion statements.
  • Raising tenant demands for rents, service charges and ad hoc charges.
  • Performing bank reconciliations.
  • Producing client statements.
  • Performing tenant account reconciliations.
  • Reconciling and setting up of take on balances for new instructions.
  • Maintaining / updating property management system.
  • Interacting with tenants and landlords, and responding to their queries.
  • Attending client meetings.

THE PERSON and SKILL REQUIREMENTS for Client Accountant role:

  • Service Charge Accounting experience preferably gained from working within the commercial real estate sector.
  • Knowledge of property management accounts packages such as QUBE, TRAMPS, YARDI or similar, along with strong knowledge of Excel.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Professional, organized, with positive and helpful attitude.
