The
construction sector rebounded in June on the back of renewed housebuilding.
The IHS Markit PMI
rose to 55.3 for June, up from the dismal 28.9 of May and comfortably above the
50 mark that separates growth from contraction.
The bulk of the growth
was driven by housebuilding, as activity in the residential sector
expanded at its fastest pace in just under five years.
